Conversations With Gwen

Over on Gwens blog, she's got a transcript of a strange conversation we had while watching the last episode of American Idol. We had a bit of a disagreement over the way it actually went, so check out her version first, then mine as follows. They aren't dramtically different, but it's the principle damnit.

Ryan Seacrest: "Tonight, blah blah blah, Katherine McPhee and Taylor Hicks, blah blah..."

Gwen: Oh, they eliminated Bucky I guess.

Me: (Long pause) What an odd thing to say.

G: Why?

M: Bucky was eliminated, like, weeks ago.

G: Who was eliminated last time?

M: Elliot.

G: Right. The redneck.

M: Elliots not a redneck.

G: No, the guy with the messed up teeth.

M: I think Bucky had messed up teeth. Elliot was the sweaty guy.

G: Right. Taylor.

M: (Another pause) This converastion is going nowhere.

At which point we both launched into fits of girlish giggling. Which is, really, the way a good forty percent of our conversations end anyway.
