Hey now

Dad, I don't want you to deprive the world...or at least the .000000000000000001% of it that reads my site your thoughts on my A-List post. If you have a long post, I suggest pasting it into Word beforehand. That way it can easily be reposted if something goes wrong.

OK, OK. After way too much build-up, here you are.

I largely agree with what you listed, with a few exceptions. I base this on my own experience which includes Disneyland.
You had Pluto as maybe first string. To me, Pluto was everywhere. He seems to be at every character meal. I’m guessing he even shows up in drag at the princess meals. First string for sure.
Stitch is a tough one to call. He’s current, he’s hot, but does he have staying power? He comes from a relatively minor movie, but finds himself getting way too much attention. In every way he’s Disney’s version of Joe Mauer.
You have the princesses as second string. I think it’s more like they have a team of their own. A little bit snooty, a little bit high schoolish.. You are either part of their club, or you’re not. What happened to Pocohantas? She’s a real princess with a movie named after her. And yet, Jasmine and Mulan get to be in the club ahead of her. Most likely she is suspected of trying to steal someone’s boyfriend. And those clothes! Hello, it’s not the 1600s anymore! Duh!
Oh yeah, I would move Chip and Dale up to first string. Maybe it’s just because there are two of them, but they seem to be everywhere. I’m not sure why. They are usually good at interacting with guests though.
I would move Aladin down a bit. It’s interesting how the movie is named after him, yet Jasmine shows up at least ten times as often as him. Maybe he should try dressing in drag.
You have Jiminy Cricket on third string. I can’t remember ever seeing Jiminy Cricket. I suppose that could be just because he’s so small I never noticed him. For all I know, I could have even stepped on him. That would explain that time I had to have that tiny umbrella removed from my foot.
I also have to move Alice up from fourth. You almost never see just one Alice in Wonderland character by themselves. It’s kind of like a gang or something. Much more than any other movie. If there really is strength in numbers, we better be nice to this group. Actually, I don’t know why Bill the Lizard with a Ladder doesn’t get in on this. Everyone else from that movie does.
I believe that Jenny already pointed out that Woody deserves to be up with Buzz. You just have to know where to look for him. I would put Cruella Deville up around 2 or 3. She’s the only villain who seems to have broken through into every day appearances. That has to count for something.
And that brings us to Friar Tuck. I absolutely do not get Friar Tuck. A minor character from a minor movie. And yet, you see him almost a s often as anyone. Far more than the main characters from that movie, including Robin Hood. My best guess is that Disney accidentally ordered about a thousand too many Friar Tuck costumes, and is determined to wear every one of them out. Pretty soon I expect to see ride operators wearing them. You may someday be led into the Haunted Mansion stretching room by Friar Tuck as he mimes something about “The dead center…”
Did I mention that we have a picture of you with Gov. Radcliffe?
The crows from Dumbo???? Really?
